Budget hotel with decent food

Located away from main market area and busy road, this hotel offers different types of rooms: from single rooms to 3bhk bungalows. Following are the pros and cons from my experience while staying in a single family room. Pros: Good room service, hot water in bathroom for 24 hrs, ample parking space, breakfast buffet is cheap, tasty food, located away from main market area, no mosquitoes in the room. Cons: Linen is not changed every day (changed every alternate day), bedsheets, pillow covers and towels were stained, washbasin pipe was leaking but wasn't repaired despite several reminders, no water heater in room for making tea/coffee, complimentary sachets of tea/coffee are not provided, kids play area is not maintained, kids pool is unusable, no recreational area for adults, restraunt is on the lower floor and without an elevator.

We decided to stay there for my wife's birthday. Booked a room through OYO. Initial impression of the hotel through photos was very nice and pleasent. But once we checked in the problems began. The room felt too congested and cramped. It was all damp. The washroom of the initial room offered was smelling strongly of urine. We got the room changed. Even new room felt the same, minus the urinary smell. Intercom in room was not working. I had to go to reception to order for a cup of tea and even that took ages to arrive. It was a very bad experience for us.

OYO Flagship 36890 Hotel Basilica was formally known as OYO 7293 Basilica Holiday Home. Rooms are big, neat and clean. It has its owns small swimming pool and a small garden. Restaurant is attached to the hotel and food in the restaurant is very tasty. One drawback of the hotel is that it is 4 to 5 km away from Lovavala railway station.

It was a business cum pleasure trip to Lonavala and we stayed at Basilica Holliday home. All our requirements were taken care of by the polite and helping service team at the hotel. Our stay was enjoyable though business sessions continued throughout the day time.

We have been to this place on 19th n 20th Jan2018...Rooms were clean n neat..staff was very helpful ..special thing is "FOOD" was just amazing..service was very nice..so overall very nice experience we had. Note:- Rooms which are having Garden / parking side view are better. Also heard that bungalows are nice but didn't get chance to visit..next time can surely try with family / friends group
